Treatment Procedure
Phase 1: Rinse
Patient rinsed with 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash for 30–40 seconds
Phase 2: Scaling
- Scaling removed stains from upper and lower arch teeth using piezoelectric scaling inserts
- Surface scaler and pointed scaler tips used to clean tooth surfaces and areas between teeth
Phase 3: Polishing
- Polishing completed using oral prophylactic paste
- Contra-angle handpiece with polishing brush used to clean the tooth surface and improve appearance
